Life

This is a post from my google blog.

I just received an email telling me I was admitted into my first choice Freshman Seminar. It is a very interesting class taught by a renowned professor of ethics, Shelley Kagen (picture shown)! When I was visiting during Bulldog Days (the admit weekend) I sat in on his class called Death. It was absolutely amazing!

I think, given my history, that I will be able to bring a unique perspective to the class. There are also some amazingly interesting topics to be discussed. Here's a description:

Most of us stumble through life without asking what is really worth having. This course examines the various possible elements of a good life, and asks which truly have value and why. What should I look for in choosing a career? What is the significance of my decision whether to have children? Why is love so important? What is the value of education? How important is accomplishment? Socrates said the unexamined life is not worth living. Let's examine. Enrollment limited to freshmen.

I am so excited to know at least one of the classes I will be taking next year!

Welcome (to me)

This is a post from my Google Blog.

Well, my mother had the bright idea that because I will soon be far away, I should keep a random journal of my happenings.

Maybe, it will be interesting.

It's mostly for me I suppose, and probably her.

We'll see how long this lasts...

9 days...
